Stations

 When I said in the welcome post there would be things to do - I was not kidding - Lets take a look at the stations - As a side note you do not need to do these stations in order - Minus the First one :)
There will be a Blog Post about each Station but we wanted to give you a basic overall idea as well.

Station #1
When you arrive at our party you will be greeted by a Conductor of the Hogwarts Express
He will take your ticket and hand you your luggage (an empty box you can use to store all the goodies you will be getting)

Once you walk though the fun is just starting

Station #2
Student Services
You will be handed your student Schedule
Here you will locate your Student ID card (It will be prefilled out with the information you sent)
Once you have your card you will get your picture taken
You may take your card now and come back once your picture has printed
Or wait till you get your wand permit and have it all laminated together.
Once you complete all 4 classes and have them signed off by the teachers come back for your deploma

Station #3
School / Classes
Now that you have your schedule
At this station you will be able to explore 4 different classes make sure to have the teacher sign your sheet
 

Station #4
Gringotts Bank / Games
Here you can pick up everything you need to play Quiditch,
this is also where you will get your money

Station #5
Ollivanders - Wand Making
You will have 3 options at this table
Will you make your own Wand or have our Professionals select one for you

Station #6
Photo Op
We will have a Photographer Take your Picture for you to remember your time celebrating with us. This picture will be sent to you via Email, Facebook Messenger, or text Message (You will let us know your choice at the station)  Please do not forget to stop at this station, it is also important for me - We all know i love pictures and scrapbooking so I do not want to miss having a picture of everyone who attends.

Station #7
One of the most important Stations
HollyDukes - FOOD!!!!
There will be 3 tables - Drinks, Cake, and Candy

Employees

To all Party "Employees" I am hoping this post will be of help

First and foremost - Pay is $20 for the evening
$30 If you work at the Kids Party (I am looking for 3 People)

The party starts at 7:00 and Ends at 9:00
We would like you to be there at least 30 minutes early to go over your "job" :)

We hope you will have fun while here and are welcome to partake in food and drinks.
If you want to stay a bit late you are welcome to try any of the other stations while we are breaking down you are welcome to. You do not need to help with the breakdown we will start with the non activity areas to give you time to do any activities that still have the items needed for that activity - I expect we will

Slytherin

Founded by Salazar Slytherin

In establishing the house, Salazar instructed the Sothing Hat to pick students who had a few particular characteristics he most valued. Those characteristics included cunning, resourcefulness, leadership, and ambition.

Many Slytherin students tended to clique together (often acquiring leaders) which further exemplified Slytherin's ambitious qualities.

The founder highly valued and favored pure-blood students and the Sorting Hat admitted that it could be a factor when being sorted. Students of any blood status could be placed in the house. However, a Muggle-born student from that house was considered to be quite rare.

The emblematic animal of the house was a snake and the house's colors were green and silver. There were two notable heads of the house; 

Slytherin corresponded roughly with the element of water due to serpents being commonly associated with the sea and lochs in western European mythology, as well as serpents being physically fluid and flexible animals. Similarly, in Celtic mythology, water is seen as a portal to another world, leading some to believe that the element was chosen to symbolise a Slytherin's dream for a world in which their goals and ambitions had finally been achieved. Others speculate that it was chosen to symbolise many Slytherins' hope for a pureblood-only wizarding society.

The colors also corresponded with waters around lakes and lochs often being green, and silver being often associated with grey rainwater.

Ravenclaw

Founded by Rowena Ravenclaw

Members of this house were characterized by their wit, learning, and wisdom.
The emblematic animal symbol was an Eagle
Blue and Bronze were its colors

Ravenclaw corresponded roughly to the element of Air, and it was for that reason that the House colors were chosen; blue and bronze represented the sky and eagle feathers respectively, both having much to do with air. The Ravenclaw points hourglass contained blue sapphires.

Ravenclaw House prized learning, wisdom, wit, and intellect in its members.Thus, many Ravenclaws tended to be academically motivated and talented students. They also prided themselves on being original in their ideas, and methods. It was not unusual to find Ravenclaw students practising especially different types of magic that other houses might shun.

Often hard-working and diligent, as often was the case with intellectuals with a predisposition for academics, some of the pupils sorted under the blue-bronzed eagle were known to be inclined to dismiss certain social expectations for the sake of satisfying their own intellectual curiosity. Some of these eventually also ended up being not only accepted but even celebrated, in spite of being initially subjected to scorn for their various oddities.

Ravenclaws tended to be curious about the world and paid attention to the world around them. Ravenclaws were known to be logical and rational. In addition, Ravenclaw students tended to have abilities regarding Memory.

Hufflepuff

Hufflepuff was founded by Helga Hufflepuff

 Hufflepuff was the most inclusive among the four houses, valuing hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its members.

The emblematic animal was a badger,
and yellow and black were its house colors

Hufflepuff corresponded roughly to the element of earth,
House colors were chosen: yellow represented wheat, while black was emblematic of soil.
The Hufflepuff hourglass contained yellow diamonds.
 

Students sorted into Hufflepuff often demonstrated strong abilities in Herbology owing to their correspondence to earth.

Gryffindor

 Founded by Godric Gryffindor

Gryffindor instructed the Sorting Hat to choose students possessing characteristics he most valued, such as courage, chivalry, nerve and  determination, for his house.

The emblematic animal was a Lion a
its colors were scarlet and gold
Gryffindor corresponded roughly to the element of Fire and it was for this reason that the colors scarlet and gold were chosen to represent the house.
The colour of fire corresponded to that of a lion as well, with scarlet representing the mane and tail and gold representing the coat.
and its house hourglass was filled with rubies.

The Gryffindor motto was "Forti Animo Estote", which means Be of Good Courage

The Gryffindor house emphasized the traits of courage as well as "daring, nerve, and chivalry" and thus its members were generally regarded as brave, though sometimes to the point of recklessness. Some Gryffindors had also been noted to be short-tempered.

Notably, Gryffindor house contributed many members to Dumbledore's Army although this may have been because the main members made it a point not to associate with other houses.

According to members of other houses, particularly Slythern, sometimes felt that Gryffindors engaged in "pointless heroics". Another Slytherin,  considered many Gryffindors to be self-righteous and arrogant, with no regard for rules.

Welcome to our Party

 We are a bit excited - as you can tell seeing that the party is a little short of two years from the day I made this post :)

But if you are here then you know me and know that I like planning and if I am going to do something it is going to be big!!!

This blog will help you get ready for the fun as well 

It will be interactive and help us make this a party to remember

Lets start with some basics
The Theme is Harry Potter
Every Guest is required to come dressed - This can be something as simple as a black robe or a full outfit.
This will he an 18 and over Party - With the exception of our "Employees" and if you are currently breastfeeding - While we love your little people this is going to be quite the party and might be overwhelming for some adults, we do not want to do that to little ones as well, plus it is on the later side and we don't want you to hate us for the sugar rush they would get.
